at that republish.

## How the PDF was made, and what was protected

The Word file is the text of record and it carries a published digest, so **it was never opened.** A
byte-identical copy was made, Word exported the copy, and the original's digest was checked again
afterwards and was unchanged — `347e452e…` before and after. Word did the export, which is the
standing procedure for every paper on this wall: the pagination and the Contents page numbers are
Word's own, not a third-party renderer's.

The PDF was not part of the publication pack and no digest was published for it in advance, so there
is nothing here that a pre-existing digest could contradict. Its digest is recorded above and in
`SHA256SUMS.txt` beside it, from this point on.

## What else is in this folder

`The_Atom_in_the_Hourglass_v2_2026-09-13.docx` — the describing that stands behind the paper. It is
not a proof, has no proof number, and is not listed among them.

`AP54_Lodgement_2026-09-13.docx`, `The_Ripple_Construction_2026-09-13.docx`, `LODGEMENT_2026-09-13.md`
and the other files of 13 September — the working instruments and the before-state lodged before the
lock. **The lodgement records a draft** — v0.16 at 72,463 bytes — and that is a different file from
the one published here. It is not amended after the fact, or it stops being a before-state.

*Frozen files are never edited; corrections supersede, dated, in the open.*
