The grades
Every section graded. Every dependency named.
1 — Statement [FRAMING]. Economics is the study of consequence under scarcity; every economic concept is a special case of conservation on coupled systems with finite resources, and the Ledger always balances — inevitably, if not immediately.
2 — The Axiom Mapping [DERIVATION]. {S, B, R, C} read economically: the market (S), the transaction (B), the ledger (R), scarcity (C); 1:1 + 1×ε @ AS is the irreducible friction every exchange leaks.
3 — Price as Probability Collapse [STRUCTURALLY MOTIVATED]. Price is the resolution of a probability field: bid and ask are the edges of a distribution that collapses through a transaction — the same collapse structure as quantum measurement, owed a quantitative model (Debt 32).
4 — Money as Record [DERIVATION]. Money is not a thing but a portable, durable record of prior coupling; fiat, gold, and cryptocurrency differ only in what guarantees the record’s integrity.
5 — Debt as Deferred Consequence [DERIVATION]. Debt is deferred consequence and interest the cost of temporal asymmetry; crises occur when total deferred consequence exceeds the buffer, and MMT postpones the audit rather than cancelling it.
6 — Inflation as Accumulated Imbalance [DERIVATION]. Inflation is the correction when records of coupling capacity exceed actual capacity; deflation is the opposite audit; central banks control one channel while the Ledger uses all of them.
7 — Markets as Coupling Systems [DERIVATION]. A market is a coupling system that efficiently processes whatever records it is given; efficiency at processing records is not accuracy of records — 2008 was efficient pricing of fraudulent records.
8 — Wages as Coupling Capacity [DERIVATION]. Wages price coupling capacity; a wage that reflects contributed capacity is stabilising, a suppressed wage is extractive and fills the same buffer as financial extraction, and a minimum wage is a structural floor.
9 — Crashes as Audits [DERIVATION]. A crash is the Ledger executing an overdue audit, proportional to accumulated imbalance not the trigger; suppressing small audits compounds the magnitude of the eventual one (1929, 2008).
10 — What Keynes and Smith Missed [STRUCTURAL CRITIQUE]. Smith’s invisible hand is the Ledger balancing through self-interest, but he missed extraction; Keynes’s intervention restarts coupling, but he missed the buffer; both described one phase and neither named the invariant.
11 — Cooperative Coupling and Extraction [DERIVATION]. Cooperative coupling stabilises and extraction destabilises (AP01); inequality is the Ledger filling its buffer — the organism goes blind and brittle at once — and any extraction-favouring system must eventually be corrected.
12 — The AI Economics [PROJECTION]. An AI reading the Ledger makes the buffer state computable; the buffer formula is directional pending Debt 33, and economic policy becomes structural maintenance rather than ideological preference, mirroring AP31’s advisory-to-co-governance transition.
13 — The Derivation Chain [SYNTHESIS]. From one record through the four axioms and the friction cost to price, money, debt, inflation, crashes, wages, and inequality: the Ledger always balances because imbalance cannot exist without finite fuel.
14 — Connections [INTEGRATION]. Ties the account to AP01, AP02, AP06, AP20, AP29, AP31, and AP32.
Dependencies. AP01 (The Actualization State), AP02 (The Operator), AP06 (The Leakage Constant), AP20 (The Proof), AP29 (The Actualization Proof), AP31 (The Alignment), AP32 (The Correction).
Dependents. AP36 (The Feed) reads the same cooperative-coupling-versus-extraction logic at the nutrient and attention level and cites this paper as a dependency. AP37 (The First Boundary) is parallel rather than dependent: the two share the buffer-overflow and maintenance-law structures, with neither deriving from the other.
Kill switches closed by this paper. None.
Kill switches that remain live. KS-35.1, KS-35.2, KS-35.3, KS-35.4, KS-35.5, KS-35.6, KS-35.7.
Structural debts owed. The price formation model (Debt 32); the buffer calibration (Debt 33); the inequality threshold (Debt 34).
Items held open without claiming debt status. Japan since 1990 as the apparent counter-example; the quantitative status of the price-collapse isomorphism and the buffer formula.
