Kill Switches

Kill switch numbers are globally unique across the 420 Code. Seven switches engage on this paper; all are live. Statuses follow the Master Kill Switch Registry.

KS-35.1 — Conservation

Claim. Economic value obeys conservation: it cannot be created from nothing or destroyed without trace, because every transaction is a symmetric exchange plus an irreducible leak recorded on the Ledger.

Test. Demonstrate an economic system that operates without conservation — where value can be created from nothing or destroyed without trace.

Status. LIVE — STRUCTURAL.

Recovery. The conservation foundation fails; the entire reframing of economics as conservation under scarcity collapses and must be abandoned.

KS-35.2 — Price mechanism

Claim. Price formation is the resolution of a probability field — a distribution of potential values collapsing through a coupling event — the same collapse structure as quantum measurement on a different substrate.

Test. Show that price formation operates through a mechanism fundamentally different from probability collapse.

Status. LIVE — STRUCTURAL.

Recovery. The price-as-collapse account fails; section 3 is withdrawn and price must be modelled by the classical supply-demand intersection alone (the rest of the architecture survives).

KS-35.3 — Extraction persistence

Claim. Extraction destabilises the economic organism and cannot persist indefinitely: it fills the buffer faster than cooperative coupling, and the buffer has finite capacity, so correction follows.

Test. Show that an extraction-dominant economic system can persist indefinitely without correction.

Status. LIVE — EMPIRICAL.

Recovery. The extraction-correction claim fails; the prediction that extraction-favouring systems must eventually be audited is withdrawn.

KS-35.4 — Buffer overflow

Claim. Accumulated imbalance cannot be sustained indefinitely: the Ledger’s buffer has finite capacity, and when deferred consequence exceeds it the audit fires — immediately, or through a slower channel such as stagnation.

Test. Show that accumulated imbalance can be sustained indefinitely — that a system can defer consequence without limit (e.g. Japan sustaining current debt for another generation with no audit through any channel).

Status. LIVE — EMPIRICAL.

Recovery. The buffer-overflow claim fails; deferral has no structural ceiling and the audit thesis must be abandoned.

KS-35.5 — Scale invariance

Claim. The Ledger’s logic applies at all scales — individual, firm, market, nation — because conservation under scarcity is scale-free; the same audit operates on a household budget and a national debt.

Test. Show that the Ledger’s logic does not apply at some scale — that conservation under scarcity holds at one level but not another.

Status. LIVE — STRUCTURAL.

Recovery. Scale invariance fails; the architecture must be restricted to the scales where it holds and the universal claim withdrawn.

KS-35.6 — Audit proportionality

Claim. Crash magnitude is proportional to accumulated imbalance, not to the trigger: the boom is the accumulation phase, and the larger the buffer, the more violent the correction when it overflows.

Test. Show that crash magnitude is not proportional to accumulated imbalance — that corrections track the trigger event rather than the accumulation.

Status. LIVE — EMPIRICAL.

Recovery. The proportionality claim fails; crashes must be modelled as responses to triggers rather than as audits of accumulated imbalance.

KS-35.7 — Keynesian override

Claim. Government intervention can delay an audit but not permanently prevent it: it works only while the buffer has capacity, and intervention into a full buffer defers the consequence rather than dissolving it.

Test. Show that government intervention can permanently prevent the audit — dissolve accumulated imbalance rather than defer it.

Status. LIVE — EMPIRICAL.

Recovery. The deferral reading of intervention fails; Keynesian policy can in principle cancel imbalance, and the buffer account must be revised.
