Dependency and Scope

0.1 What this paper does. It derives consciousness’s place in the structure: awareness as the interior of irreversible record-writing, and the dependency chain that runs up to self-consciousness.

0.2 Dependencies. AP28 (the G derivation, the 21:1 channel structure — load-bearing for Step 4); AP20 (EH/QRA, AS = manifold); AP01 (agency); AP03 (c and G). 0.3 Kill-switch summary. Eight switches — KS-AP29.1, .2, .3, .4, .5a, .5b, .6, .7 — all live. KS-AP29.5b (structural realism) applies retroactively to every Artist’s Proof. Stated in full in the Kill Switch Registry.

0.4 Debts. The Noether time-translation debt is addressed in Step 5 as a structural argument (not formally closed): time-translation invariance is argued from B’s permanence, not assumed. The qualia question is named open (Step 7); it is not a debt this paper undertakes to close.

0.5 A note on structure and on three body of work claims. The body opens with Step 1 (awareness as the coupling capacity of the break) without a separate heading; Steps 2 through 7, the Result, and the registries follow. Three claims sometimes associated with this paper in registry material — the one interior (the one-I), α as the actualisation rate, and closed-loop cosmology — are derived elsewhere in the body of work, not here: the one-I in Ø Predictions and The Interior; the actualisation-rate reading of α across Notebook I, Notebook IV, and the Ø Models volumes; and the closed loop (the Big Bang and the black hole as two sides of one boundary) in AP03, Notebook II, and Notebook VI. They are not among this paper’s eight kill switches. Registry reconciliation (MKSR v5.11): the labels KS-AP29.8 (one interior), KS-AP29.9 (α as actualisation rate), and KS-AP29.10 (closed-loop cosmology) that earlier registry material attached to a “Step 8” of this paper are removed — this paper has no Step 8. The one-interior claim is registered at its book-level home KS-ID.1 (The Interior); the closed-loop claim at KS-41.7 (AP41, present-tense Big Bang); the α-rate role is carried in prose across the α apparatus, its value already guarded by KS-4/KS-34/KS-35/KS-36. The one-interior FORMALISATION debt D-ID.1 is reopened: the three-case-exhaustion derivation cited in registry material as living in “AP29 Step 8” is not present in this paper, and its location elsewhere is unconfirmed.
