0.1 — What this paper does

This paper identifies the physical instantiation of the governing axiom. Two derived numbers — α (the coupling strength) and 1/21 (the channel partition) — answer two different questions about the same break. The visible universe is one electromagnetic channel out of twenty-one; the observed 5% is a count. The dark sector is the twenty unbroken channels (the 10:10 mirror). The splinter reproduces the full architecture of the axiom because the axiom has no scale (the holographic property). Fusion is the break in the present tense; gravity is its mechanism; the loop runs from break to door to break. The paper argues structurally why α cannot be derived from within, and grounds the terminal ethic in the capacity to couple irrationally.

0.3 — Axiom mapping

Axiom S (Symmetry — the involution σ). The 10:10 symmetry of the twenty dark channels is the unbroken mirror; the involution makes the dark sector symmetric, and symmetry is why it does not radiate — only the broken channel carries asymmetry.

Axiom B (Break — the unique break ε). The +1×ε is the single electromagnetic channel — the splinter, the visible 4.76%. 10:10 + 1 = 21. The break opens exactly one channel; α is the size of that crack.

Axiom R (Record — monotone accumulation). Records accumulate irreversibly down the loop: energy → chemistry → structure → awareness → drift. The records that fall through the door persist but are inaccessible to the new now.

Axiom C (Constraint — locality; finite propagation speed c). Propagation at c carries the break’s energy across the arena (Stage 2). The constraint is what makes the splinter’s physics local and finite.

0.4 — Epistemic status per section

1 (Two numbers). STRUCTURAL IDENTIFICATION. The distinction between α and 1/21 is definitional; the mapping to the observed 5% is an identification (KS-41.1, KS-41.5).

2 (Dark sector). STRUCTURAL IDENTIFICATION. The total dark fraction (20/21 ≈ 95%) is structural; the internal partition (68/27) is the debt D44, addressed in AP42.

3 (Holographic splinter). STRUCTURAL ARGUMENT from the scale-invariance of {S, B, R, C}; not equivalent to the Bekenstein–Hawking entropy bound (KS-41.8).

4 (Fusion). IDENTIFICATION. The mapping from proton–proton fusion to 1:1 + 1×ε is structural; the axioms do not predict fusion, fusion instantiates them (KS-41.7).

5 (Gravity). STRUCTURAL. Follows from AP28.

6 (The loop). STRUCTURAL / CONJECTURAL. Stages 1–5 are observed astrophysics; Stage 6 is AP04 (conjectural, KS-L0.1); Stage 7 is interpretation.

7 (α underivability). STRUCTURAL ARGUMENT — not a proof; addresses AP04-D3 without formally closing it (KS-41.4).

8 (Incomplete knowledge). INTERPRETATION. Structurally motivated but not derived.

9 (The resolution). STRUCTURAL CONSEQUENCE of the break — frame-dependence follows from 1:1 + 1×ε; the ethical grounding follows from choice as irrational coupling capacity (KS-41.9).

KS-41.1 (Visible fraction). LIVE — EMPIRICAL. The predicted visible fraction is 1/21 ≈ 4.76%.

KS-41.2 (Fusion as instantiation). LIVE — EMPIRICAL. The identification of proton–proton fusion with 1:1 + 1×ε (effectively closed by a century of nuclear physics; listed for completeness).

KS-41.3 (Loop topology). LIVE. Inherits KS-L0.1 (AP04): the black-hole interior as a new expanding geometry is required for the loop to close.

KS-41.4 (α underivability). LIVE — HARD. Guards against a self-referential derivation of α that circumvents the within-the-splinter argument.

0.6 — Structural debts owed

D44 (Quantitative dark-sector partition). The mapping from twenty-one channels to the precise dark-energy/dark-matter/visible split (68/27/5) is structural but not derived here. The total (20/21) is structural; the internal split is owed. ADDRESSED in AP42 (The Clock): τ = (6/21) × t_H derives the two dark fractions to within 1.3% of Planck and the visible to ≈2% (dark-matter error 1.2%).

D45 (Fusion reactor geometry). If the axiom operates spherically, the optimal fusion geometry may be convergent rather than toroidal. Suggestive; the engineering derivation is out of scope. Open.

D46 (Cross-cycle record persistence). Records persist (Axiom R) but are inaccessible across the door (section 8). The two statements must be reconciled formally; sketched, not proved. Open.

0.7 — Items held open without claiming debt status

The loop-closure step (Stage 6, the door) is conjectural and inherited from AP04 (KS-L0.1); Stages 1–5 do not depend on it. The α-underivability argument (section 7) is a structural argument for the unpayability of AP04-D3, not a formal closure. The grounding of the ethic (section 9) is a structural reading, not a physical law.

0.8 — Structural relationships

AP04 (The Loop Hypothesis). Stage 6 — the door, the conjectural step. Nine kill switches in AP04 guard it.

AP06 (The Leakage Constant). α as the coupling strength — the size of the crack, the one measured input.

AP10 (The Dimension). Three spatial dimensions from the axioms; the twenty-one channels follow from six faces × three dimensions plus three actualisation couplings.

AP28 (The Constant). G as the break’s geometric persistence through all twenty-one channels; the hierarchy dissolved as a counting argument — the same counting logic as the dark-sector partition.

AP24 (The Residual). The six faces of ε, which fix the numerator of AP42’s timescale ratio.

AP29 (The Actualization Proof). Awareness as the interior of irreversible record-writing — Stage 4 of the loop. The dark-sector partition is read consistently across AP29, AP41, and AP42 (the 5/26/69, 1/21, and 68/27/5 figures are one partition under different ordering and rounding).

AP30 (The Resistance). Mass as geometric resistance; the proton’s mass is the break’s resistance to displacement, which fusion overcomes.

AP42 (The Clock). Derives the internal dark-sector split that this paper owes (D44), via the defragmentation timescale τ = (6/21) × t_H.
