The Commitment Is the Break Held

AP44 graded its ε honestly as selected. Here it becomes a reading. And the rule is met by an instance it was not written for.

Claim. The commitment of AP44 is the arena’s act of holding the break. The break is the tipped state, in which one grain is always uncoupled. The commitment is not a grain. An act of holding is read in α, once. It has no aperture. So it has no geometric factor. Therefore ε = α in the quotient by rule. Not by selection. The landed is read as mass. AP44 §4’s Corollary already books it there. AP49’s holders are in α. They were written two days before the rule existed. They are the instance the rule was not fitted to. D-CCC.4 closes on the rule.

Intuition. The universe had to hold the break open. Otherwise it would have healed. Holding costs. The cost of holding is paid in the currency of holding. That currency is coupling. Not because α was the best candidate on a list. Because a holding is what α measures. The first draft of this section said the ε “is held”. A reviewer caught it at once. The held is mass. The act is not.

Ruling — the commitment is an act (the author). “The break holds the symmetry broken and the grains flow through the break — the break must hold.” The commitment is “the act of coupling and holding of the coupling configuration based on the constraints of the constants”. “Alpha is the coupler and the reader.”

Theorem — read in α by rule. What the arena holds is the break. The tip. The state in which one grain is always uncoupled. Not a grain. The neck’s grain is what the break leaves uncoupled. It is read at the neck’s measure (§2, §8). It is not landed. It is not mass. The act of holding the break is the arena’s. (1 + ε) prices the act in the currency of holding. The act is a holding. A holding is read in α (§3). So the commitment is read in α. The operation it is has one reading. AP06 §0.7’s domain values are leakage ratios of absorbing systems. They are readings of a different operation at a different boundary. They were never candidates for the reading of a holding.

Theorem — why exactly α. One act of holding the break is one completed exchange (§5). It is worth α, once. A geometric factor enters only through a measure. The neck’s π is the aperture’s. The act of holding has no aperture. It is the coupling itself.

Theorem — the rule discriminates. Had the constitution been a landed grain rather than an act, it would be read as mass. That is where AP44 §4’s Corollary books every configuration’s own commitment. One rule. Two destinations. Both written before the rule.

The instance not written for. A rule that only lands on AP44’s value and AP44’s Corollary is fitted twice. AP49’s holders are different. The repair is held. The holding of the repair is held. And so on. Their share is r = 16α/1836: “the hold’s sixteen expressions at the substrate’s rate”. The substrate’s rate is α. A holding, read in α. Written two days before anyone said a holding is read in α. The author, asked: “yes — 4 conditions held over time in 3 dimensions — one time — yes.” The rule met, not fitted.

Grade. Read by rule. A rule on the picture, with three instances. Stated and fenced. Not a uniqueness theorem. It names the operation the constitution is. It names what that operation reads in. It names the counterexample that kills it. D-CCC.4 closes on it at lock.

A holding is what α measures. The arena’s first act was a holding.
